The Dayton Art Institute to Participate in Blue Star Museums Program

DAYTON, OHIO) – June 26, 2012 – The Dayton Art Institute (DAI) has announced that it will take part in Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,800 museums across America, to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families through Labor Day 2012.

Prairie: New Voices at the Cincinnati Art Museum

New Voices is a program produced by Prairie which connects high school students to their community through collaborative photography projects. This Spring, students from the School for Creative and Performing Arts worked with Elementz artists to learn about their work and photograph them in their Over-the-Rhine studio.

Manifest: Open Figure Drawing Sessions Ongoing

STUDENTS ATTEND FOR HALF-PRICE! Uninstructed moderated study sessions with a live model Weekly Open Figure Sessions Tuesdays , 7-9p.m. Wednesdays, 7-9p.m. (multi-day long poses) PRICE : $80 per 10 week session, start up any time ($40 for students with academic reference and valid current student I.D. Free for current Drawing League members.)

Manifest: Drawing Marathon is Back This Weekend

Saturday and Sunday, June 30th and July 1st 12 total hours of uninstructed open life drawing with the live model (equivalent to 6 weeks of one of our regular open figure sessions!) Register here This special offering is intended give professionals, students, and novices a chance to access the model in a condensed time period.
