Play Day at the Taft

Sunday, July 22, 12–4 p.m. AFTA with Madcap Puppets The Taft Museum of Art is proud to join with the Armed Forces Tickets Association (AFTA) to present a day of art-making, performances, and fun for area military families and Taft Museum of Art members. Madcap Puppets will perform Rumpelstiltskin at 1 and 3 p.m in the tent.

Malton Gallery: Humanity Outpost Grand Opening Celebration

Dear Malton Gallery Enthusiasts and Supporters, It is with great excitement that I announce our biggest event in our 37 year history! The Humanity Outpost will be opening with a Grand Celebration on July 1, at 2pm,World Peace Bell Park in Newport KY. Political, civic, community leaders and media will be there to officially open the event.

The Original James Bond Car at The Cincinnati Art Museum Through July 15

This summer, for one month only, an icon of design, film and popular culture will be on display at the Art Museum: James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5. This was the stunt car that was driven in the films Goldfinger (1964) and Thunderball (1965).

Henry Ossawa Tanner: Modern Spirit at The Cincinnati Art Museum Through September 9

The life and career of one of the greatest African American painters will be on display at the Cincinnati Art Museum in the exhibition, Modern Spirit. The son of a former slave and an African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Bishop, Henry Ossawa Tanner (1859-1937) gained international acclaim in the art world of his day. Tanner’s first ever solo exhibition was held in the fall of 1890, right here in Cincinnati.
