Registration for Miami University’s CraftSummer 2013 Artist Workshops Now Underway

Three and Five Day Workshops Designed for Participants of All Levels and Abilities (Oxford, OH) – Registration is once again underway for Miami University’s popular CraftSummer artist workshops. Held in the newly remodeled Art Center at Phillips Hall (420 S. Oak St. Oxford, OH 45056), CraftSummer is comprised of a series of hands-on craft and art related workshops taught by local, regional and nationally known artists.

Matt Distel Has Been Named Exhibition Director of The Carnegie Galleries

The Carnegie is excited to announce that Matt Distel has been named Exhibition Director of The Carnegie Galleries. Distel assumes the role previously held by Bill Seitz, who announced his retirement in January. Distel will join The Carnegie in early June, allowing time for him to assist with the transition of his replacement at Visionaries + Voices, where he has served as the Executive Director since 2012.

Submission Period Opens for Echo Art Fair 2013

Buffalo, NY — echo Art Fair, a juried fine art fair held in Buffalo, NY, announces the opening of its submission period for artists and galleries to exhibit at the third annual fair. The fair will take place September 7th and 8th, 2013 at the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library’s Central Library (BECPL), in downtown Buffalo, NY.

Uncovering Troy: Recent Discoveries and the Homeric Tradition at CAM

The archaeology of Troy, in what is now Turkey, has captured the human imagination for nearly a century and a half. In l988 archaeologists from the University of Cincinnati and the University of Tübingen, Germany, began new excavations with the intent of examining all phases of habitation from the Bronze Age through the Byzantine period.

SOS ART 2013 Call to Greater Cincinnati Artists

SOS ART 2013 invites Greater Cincinnati artists working in visual art, poetry, music, film and other forms of expression to participate in its annual event for peace and justice. The exhibition will take place at the Art Academy of Cincinnati from May 31 to June 9, 2013. The application deadline is May 13.
